Production Assistant (Warehouse), Milledgeville, GA

Production Assistant Responsibilities:

Aids production in set-up and break-down of projects; keeping production running on multiple machines

Production Assistant Job Duties:

    1. Maintain general cleanliness and organization of all production areas, including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, scrap management, trash runs, production tools etc.
    2. Cleaning, reclaiming, coating screens.  The dark room is PA's domain. – background in printmaking is PREFERRED but not necessary
    3. Aiding with production without running machines: collating and fixing floods, burning and taping screens, cleaning up embroideries, neo final presses, weeding
    4. Run completed items to pick up shelves (and extras to extras basket)
    5. Loading and unloading elevator – ability to lift heavy objects is a MUST
    6. Help mix custom ink colors – good foundation in color theory is a MUST
    7. To Calls
    8. Have the opportunity to gradually learn to keep machines running during high volume periods for break coverage, etc.

    • Responds to customer inquiries by understanding inquiry; reviewing previous inquiries and responses; gathering and researching information; assembling and forwarding information; verifying customer's understanding of information and answer.

    • Upholds The 42nd Floor's standard of excellence by informing customers of supplied artwork that may contain copyright, licensing or resolutions issues; offers effective alternatives while demonstrating excellent creativity and quality.

    • Records customer inquiries by documenting inquiry and response in customers' workorder and account.

    • Improves quality service by educating customers and recommending improved processes; identifying new product and service applications.

    • Acts as customer advocate throughout project, continuously updating and education the customer in order to achieve best results.

    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed (includes, but not limited to): Classic Production, Vinyl Weeding, Stocking, Straightening, Organizing, Cleaning.

    A candidate with a sincere interest in the printing, design or custom apparel industry is preferred. This is a demanding position, and interest in the field is highly beneficial.

    Pay depends on qualifications and will be re-evaluated after a 90 day introductory period.
